Mae disgyblion wedi bod yn rhannu eu syniadau beth maent am astudio yn ystod y tymor yn yr ysgol.
Os hoffech chi drafod y thema gyda'ch plentyn a rhannu eich syniadau gyda'r athrawon llenwch y ffurflen hon.
Rydym yn awyddus i wrando ar lais y disgybl a dilyn eu syniadau, lle bo'n bosibl.
Pupils have been sharing their ideas on what they want to study during term time at school.

Y tymor hwn mae dysgwyr iau yr ysgol yn frwdfrydig iawn i ddysgu mwy am y goedwig law, yn enwedig yr holl anifeiliaid diddorol! Maent hefyd wedi cael ymwelydd i’r dosbarth.. Olwen yr orangwtang! Does gen Olwen ddim cartref na rhieni o achos effaith datgoedwigo. Mae hi wedi cael croeso mawr yn y dosbarth a’r plant i gyd yn edrych ar ei hôl. Maent wedi bod yn defnyddio nifer o sgiliau trawsgwricwlaidd fel mesur a pwyso ac ysgrifennu dyddiadur. Tybed a fydd mwy o orangwtangiaid yn edrych am loches yma yn Ysgol Pennant?
The Rainforest
This term the younger learners of the school are very enthusiastic to learn more about the rainforest, especially all the interesting animals! They have also had a visitor to the class... Olwen the orangutan! Olwen has no home or parents due to the impact of deforestation. She has been welcomed in the class and the children are all looking after her. They have been using a number of cross-curricular skills such as measuring, weighing and writing a diary. I wonder if more orangutans will be looking for refuge here at Ysgol Pennant?

Ein thema'r tymor hwn yw Coedwigoedd Glaw. Wrth fynd ati i gynllunio'n thema y tymor hwn mae’r plant wedi dangos llawer o frwdfrydedd tuag at y pwnc.
Pam fod y goedwig law yn cael ei ddinistrio? Beth sy’n digwydd i’r anifeiliaid a beth fedrwn ni wneud i helpu?
Maent wedi penderfynu’n barod eu bod eisiau casglu arian i gefnogi elusen sy’n achub orangwtaniaid, yn enwedig ar ôl gwylio clip am y tannau presennol ar ynys Borneo. Hoffen nhw gael diwrnod arbennig er mwyn cyflawni’r nod.
Oes oes gennych chi awgrymiadau – cofiwch eu rhannu gyda ni!
Rydym yn bwriadu ymchwilio i weld pa ddeunyddiau sy’n cynnwys olew palmwydd a chofnodi’r glawiad yn yr ysgol er mwyn ei gymharu â’r goedwig law. Er mwyn ymarfer ein sgiliau llafar rydym eisoes wedi cynnal sesiwn ‘Pawb a’I Farn’ yn y dosbarth, a braf fyddai mynd ati i ddadlau datgoedwigo. Mae datblygu empathi a sgiliau meddwl yn ganolog i’n thema y tymor hwn wrth i ni ystyried sut mae’n dewisiadau ni yn gallu cael effaith ar ein coedwigoedd a’n creaduriaid.

Our class theme this term is Rainforests. While planning and thinking of ideas the children have shown a lot of enthusiasm towards the subject.
Why are the rainforests being destroyed? What is happening to the animals and what can we do to help?
They have already decided that they want to raise money to support a charity that saves orangutans, especially after watching a clip about the current fires on the island of Borneo. They would like to organise a special day at school to achieve their goal.

We plan to research to see what household products contain palm oil and also record the rainfall at school in order to compare it with the rainforest. To practise our oral skills we have already held a 'Question Time’ session in class, and it would be nice to start debating deforestation. Developing empathy and thinking skills is central to our theme this term as we consider how our choices can have an impact on our forests and crea

Byd Gwyrdd?
Byd Gwyrdd? Ein thema y tymor hwn yw y ddaear. Bydd llawer o gyfleoedd i ddysgu pob math o ffeithiau am wledydd y byd. Byddwn yn astudio dwy nofel wahanol iawn, “The Last Bear” gan Hannah Hold ac O’r Tywyllwch gan Mair Wynn Hughes, Mae’r ddwy nofel yn son am sut mae pobl wedi cael effaith niweidiol yr ar y ddaear. Byddwn yn mynd ar daith rithiol o amgylch yr Artig ac yn dysgu am newidiadau yn yr hinsawdd. Bydd cyfle hefyd i ddysgu Ffrangeg ac i ddysgu am ieithoedd gwahanol fel Rwsieg, Almaeneg a Mandarin (China). Yng ngwyddoniaeth byddwn yn astudio cylchedrau trydan a sut mae creu egni trwy ddulliau adnewyddol. Yng nghelf byddwn yn tynnu lluniau anifeiliad yn eu cynefin.
A Green World?
Our theme this season is the earth. There will be many opportunities to learn about the countries of the world. We will be studying two very different novels, "The Last Bear" by Hannah Hold and “O'r Tywyllwch” by Mair Wynn Hughes. The theme of both novels is how humans have had a detrimental impact on the environment. We will go on a virtual tour of the Arctic and learn about climate change. There will also be an opportunity to learn French and other languages such as Russian, German and Mandarin (China). In science we will study electrical circuits and how to create energy through renewable methods. In art we'll draw animals in their habitat.
